Japanese & Chinese Speaking Medical Interpreter

Location: Plaza Arcadia, Desa ParkCity

Job Summary

We are looking for a Japanese & Chinese speaking medical interpreter to assist communication between Chinese doctors and Japanese patients in a newly opened Japanese clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret between Chinese doctors and Japanese patients during medical consultations
  • Handle patient inquiries via phone and email in Japanese & Chinese
  • Assist with reception duties
  • Perform basic administrative tasks:
  • Patient registration
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Issuing prescriptions
  • Billing & insurance claims

Requirements

  • Japanese, Chinese, and English (daily conversational level or above)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in clinics, interpretation, or medical settings is an advantage
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a small team

Working Hours & Compensation

  • 6 days per week
  • 1 weekday off (Mon–Fri) + 11 clinic-designated public holidays
  • Salary:
  • RM5,500 during training
  • RM6,000 after confirmation

Salary may vary depending on language skills and experience

  • Annual Leave: 8 days (increases with tenure)
  • Free clinic consultation when unwell
  • Medication at cost price
  • EPF / SOCSO / EIS
  • Transportation allowance RM120 OR parking subsidy RM150
