About the Role
XUYAN is an immersive dining performance where live stage performance and cuisine unfold together.
We are casting full-time performers for our upcoming Kuala Lumpur production.
The show blends Chinese Classical Dance, Malay Traditional Dance, Indian Classical/Bollywood Dance, and Contemporary Stage Performance.
Formal arts qualifications are not required. However, candidates must demonstrate strong dance foundation, stage confidence, and professional presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend daily rehearsals, including dance training, spacing, and character movement.
- Perform two shows per day, approximately 90 minutes per show.
- Interact naturally and professionally with guests during designated performance segments.
- Maintain physical fitness, stamina, and a professional stage attitude.
- Collaborate closely with fellow performers, choreographers, and production team members.
- Follow performance schedules, artistic direction, and show standards consistently.
Requirements
Dance background in at least one of the following disciplines:
- Chinese Classical / Folk / Modern Chinese Dance
- Malay Traditional Dance (e.g. Joget)
- Indian Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kathak) or Bollywood
- Contemporary, Jazz, or Stage Performance
Additional skills are an advantage:
- Strong facial expression and emotional control
- Acting or theatrical performance experience
- Singing ability
- Camera presence
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3, RM6,000.00 per month
