About the role

Curie Oncology KL Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of cancer care services, is seeking a talented Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients, while contributing to the overall quality of our oncology services.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible in ensuring medication safety
  • Check all medications supplied are according to appropriate prescription with accurate labels and correct physical medications
  • Oversee all aspects of medication usage, including drug dispensing, distribution, storage and provision of drug information Responsible for the management of Dangerous Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (including receiving, supply and storage)
  • Responsible in ensuring compliance to local acts and regulations
  • Counsel patient on proper medication administration & technique (where applicable) and advise on appropriate storage condition
  • Perform medications dispensing and counselling for patients that require additional information
  • Perform appropriateness review of all prescriber orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness, and make necessary interventions prior to dispensing medications
  • Provides information to health care practitioners or patients on the safe and effective use of medications
  • Providing medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, side effects and interactions
  • Assist the department on activities such as CDR / TPN Services, periodical pharmacy location / equipment inspections for proper / correct storage, inventory control and expiry dates.
  • Provide high quality medicine information

Report to Pharmacist Manager

Key Requirements:

Ø  Possess a Degree in Pharmacy recognized by Pharmacy Board of Malaysia

Ø  Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia with current Annual Retention Certificate

Ø  Possesses experience in hospital pharmacy setting

Ø  Completed PRP + FRP

Ø  Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Ø  Ability to perform accurately and methodically following published procedures

Ø Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
