As a Maintenance Engineer/Senior Maintenance Engineer, you'll lead the team to reduce equipment breakdowns and enhance maintenance activities.

Working location: Hovid Chemor, Perak

Job Responsibilities:

  • To produce detailed course of corrective actions, initiates and implements corrective action based on the daily audits and analysing result on processes, equipment and process tracking.
  • Responsible for all personnel under his/her jurisdiction and has the authority to tack with regards to their performance and personnel administration within the limit of company policy.
  • To ensure relevant training and development are provided for improvement in terms of job knowledge and flexibility of work force skills.
  • To monitor the condition of workplace is always in safest condition before starting any processes.
  • To ensure calibration and verification reports of equipment are always within the period as mentioned.
  • To ensure all operation are performed in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, company procedure machinery manufacturer's guidelines and standards.
  • To initiate reviews to improve efficiency, reduce cost and maintain high standard of maintenance and safety.
  • To supervise and organize daily maintenance activity and schedule.
  • Emphasize product quality by monitoring manufacturing processes, thus performing process improvement if necessary.
  • Manage and maintain effectiveness of maintenance activity.
  • Minimize unscheduled downtime to achieve output target and desired qualitative products.
  • Resolve production-related issues quickly and enhance facility equipment efficiency.
  • Ensure team and working area comply to safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules and regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • At least 4–5 years of experience troubleshooting pharmaceutical equipment, preferably in Mechanical, with strong industry knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience in machine troubleshooting, repairs, and basic PLC skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Granulation, Mixing, Tableting, Coating, and Packing equipment.
  • Willing to work overtime and support during machine breakdowns.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PM).
  • Proficient in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiar with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
  • Good command of English.
  • Proactive, energetic self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Skilled in troubleshooting, multitasking, and mentoring.
