Baker - Commis

The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts in accordance with Serai Group's recipes and quality standards. This role ensures consistent product quality, maintains hygiene standards, and supports smooth daily production for outlets and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery products including breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Measure, mix, proof, and bake doughs according to standard recipes and production schedules.
• Maintain consistency in product quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Assist in product innovation, seasonal menu items, and new recipe testing.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation of all baking tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock of baking ingredients or supplies.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HALAL standards as set by Serai Group.
• Work collaboratively with pastry and kitchen teams to meet outlet demands and catering orders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Baking, Pastry Arts, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or hotel environment.
• Strong understanding of baking techniques, temperature control, and ingredient handling.
• Good teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to work early morning shifts or flexible hours.
• Malaysians only.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM1, RM2,400.00 per month
