IT Manager

1.     IT Strategy & Infrastructure Management

• Develop and implement the school's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with educational and operational objectives.
• Oversee the maintenance, security, and upgrades of the school's network infrastructure, servers, and cloud-based systems.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of all IT systems, including student management systems, learning platforms, and communication tools.
• Manage the procurement, installation, and configuration of IT hardware and software.
• Design, monitor, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery systems.

2.     IT Support & Helpdesk Management

• Lead the IT team in providing technical support to students, teachers, and administrative staff.
• Oversee an efficient helpdesk system
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, ensuring minimal disruptions to school operations.
• Organize regular training and awareness programmes for staff on IT tools, cybersecurity, and safe digital practices.

3.     Cybersecurity & Data Protection

• Develop, Implement and enforce cybersecurity frameworks to protect the school's IT systems and sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and international IT security standards.
• Monitor and respond to cyber threats, malware attacks, and unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Ensure appropriate data access controls and privacy protocols for staff, students, and parents.

4.     Digital Learning & Educational Technology

• Support teachers in the effective integration of technology into pedagogy
• Manage learning management systems (LMS), digital assessment tools, and online collaboration platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance student learning experiences.
• Provide technical support for smart classrooms, virtual learning environments, and multimedia tools.

5.     Vendor & Budget Management

• Oversee IT budget planning and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT resources.
• Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, internet services, and outsourced IT support.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements with technology providers.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality and reliability.

6.     IT Policy & Compliance

• Establish IT governance framework covering policies, standards, and compliance with educational and legal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with educational technology standards and government IT regulations.
• Maintain documentation for IT processes, policies, and system configurations.
