Job Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams, and maintaining the restaurant's quality, cleanliness, and efficiency standards. The Supervisor ensures that both staff performance and customer satisfaction consistently meet the restaurant's expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards to ensure consistency.

  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.

  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including cash handling and end-of-day reports.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise and support service crew and kitchen teams during shifts.

  • Provide guidance, motivation, and performance feedback to staff.

  • Conduct on-the-job training for new employees to ensure service quality and efficiency.

  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Greet and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.

  • Handle customer issues or special requests promptly and courteously.

  • Monitor service speed, cleanliness, and hospitality to maintain high standards.

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and service supplies.

  • Coordinate with the kitchen and purchasing team to ensure adequate stock.

  • Assist in controlling wastage and maintaining cost efficiency.

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all products according to hygiene standards.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Ensure all staff follow proper hygiene, grooming, and safety standards.

  • Supervise cleanliness of dining, kitchen, and storage areas.

  • Enforce food safety and sanitation procedures as required by local health regulations.

Administrative Support

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in preparing staff schedules and attendance records.

  • Participate in daily briefings and contribute operational feedback.

  • Support management in implementing new procedures, promotions, or menu updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or F&B environment.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards, and customer handling.

  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
