Senior Barista

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and serving of an extensive range of hot and cold beverages — including coffees, teas, artisanal creations, and specialty drinks — ensuring strict adherence to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Oversee daily barista operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment, including routine sanitization of workstations, equipment, utensils, and customer areas.
• Monitor inventory levels proactively, maintain proper stock rotation, and support ordering processes to ensure consistent product availability and minimize waste.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging guests in a warm, professional, and knowledgeable manner, setting the standard for the café team.
• Provide clear explanations of menu items, offer tailored recommendations, and guide customers through specialty beverage options to elevate their overall experience.
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions, including handling cash and digital payments in compliance with company procedures.
• Uphold and model high standards of service, product quality, and operational excellence, contributing to a smooth, positive, and memorable café experience.
• Support training and mentoring of junior baristas, fostering skill development, consistency, and teamwork within the cafe.

Requirements

• Fully vaccinated (minimum of two doses).
• Minimum SPM / Secondary School qualification in any field.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Malay.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, energetic attitude and the ability to guide and support junior team members.
• Preferably owns personal transport.
• Prior barista experience is an advantage; leadership experience or exposure to cafe operations is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM2,500.00 per month
