  1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
  2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  3. Ensure compliance with Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act 1967, Sales & Services Tax (SST) requirements, and other relevant regulations.
  4. Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
  5. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  6. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
  7. Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and business performance reviews.
  8. Taxation
  9. Oversee preparation and submission of corporate tax, withholding tax, and SST filings.
  10. Ensure correct tax treatment for transactions under Malaysian tax laws.
  11. Work with tax consultants on transfer pricing documentation.
  12. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  13. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
  14. Manage banking relationships with Malaysian financial institutions.
  15. Streamline AR/AP processes to ensure healthy cash positioning.
  16. Internal Controls & Governance
  17. Establish strong internal controls to protect company assets.
  18. Review and update finance policies in accordance with local Malaysia laws and corporate standards.
  19. Support risk management and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
  20. Cost Accounting & Analysis
  21. Maintain and update ERP systems, cost standards, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
  22. Perform detailed cost analysis for materials, labor, overhead, and production processes.
  23. Prepare and update standard costs and review variances regularly.
  24. Inventory & Production Costing
  25. Track inventory movements, perform stock valuations, and ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS).
  26. Conduct monthly and annual inventory reconciliations and cycle counts.
  27. Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure accurate costing of finished goods.
  28. Team Leadership
  29. Supervise and mentor accountants or finance executives.
  30. Provide training on compliance, accounting standards, and financial systems.
  31. Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team.
