The Mining Engineer in the Infrastructure Department is responsible for mine planning and development, overseeing technical aspects of pit and surface operations, slope management, and drainage systems. The role involves both strategic planning and field execution with a strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, and infrastructure integrity.

Job description

• Understand and contribute to mine planning in alignment with the mining sequence.
• Calculate volumes of overburden and topsoil for block-wise removal and storage.
• Plan, implement, and monitor slope repair work with a focus on geotechnical safety.
• Initiate and oversee IMMR (Investigate, Monitor, Maintain, Repair) and Quick Fix actions for all surface and pit repair work.
• Plan and allocate heavy equipment and manpower to work areas based on priority, availability, and safety considerations.
• Design, plan, and implement pit access roads and surface road infrastructure in coordination with operational needs.
• Lead the planning and maintenance of the surface drainage system to ensure uninterrupted operations and environmental compliance.
• Monitor Raw Surface Water (RSW) and Underground Seepage Water (USW) and take proactive measures to manage water inflow.
• Conduct geotechnical assessments to study, analyze, and predict potential failure zones, and develop mitigation plans accordingly.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geology, Mining) or a related discipline.
• Male candidate with minimum of 3 years of field working experience in mining infrastructure or a related field is required.
• Competent in using GPS devices and mapping software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Required language(s): English & Bahasa.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Banting.

Job Type: Full-time
