To plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders while optimizing resources, inventory, and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and production capacity.
  • Prioritize production orders to meet delivery deadlines and minimize delays.
  • Adjust schedules proactively in response to changes in demand or resource availability.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of schedules.
  • Communicate production plans, changes, and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Inventory & Material Management
  • Monitor raw material and component availability to support scheduled production.
  • Coordinate with procurement to prevent material shortages that could disrupt production.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track production progress against the schedule and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepare reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and bottlenecks.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency.
  • System & Process Management
  • Maintain accurate production schedule data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE).
  • Assist in implementing production planning best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Production schedule adherence (%)
  • On-time delivery performance
  • Inventory availability and turnover
  • Reduction of production downtime and bottlenecks
  • Resource utilization efficiency

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production scheduling or planning.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with frequent interactions with the production floor.
  • May require occasional overtime during peak production periods.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM7,000.00 per month
