Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
  • Assist in preparing ingredients (cutting, peeling, marinating, measuring).
  • Help in basic cooking tasks such as boiling, frying, grilling, and baking.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
Kitchen Operations
  • Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies.
Quality & Safety
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
  • Minimize food wastage and follow portion control guidelines.
Team Support
  • Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Attend training sessions and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take instructions.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Preferably with relevant culinary certification (optional).
