Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize recommendation system models, including collaborative filtering, ranking algorithms, and hybrid approaches.
  • Develop and productionize predictive models using classification, clustering, and NLP techniques.
  • Build scalable machine learning pipelines using algorithms such as XGBoost, Random Forest, and deep learning frameworks.
  • Conduct feature engineering, model training, hyperparameter tuning, and evaluation using appropriate metrics (AUC, precision/recall, NDCG, MAP, etc.).
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover user behaviour patterns and identify opportunities for personalization.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to integrate models into production environments.
  • Lead experimentation through A/B testing, statistical validation, and continuous performance monitoring.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices, model governance, and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field; PhD is a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a strong focus on ranking and recommendation algorithms.
  • Strong expertise in XGBoost, clustering, classification, NLP, and other supervised & unsupervised techniques.
  • Experience building scalable systems using Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong understanding of model evaluation techniques for ranking and recommendation systems.
  • Proven ability to design and implement machine learning pipelines in production environments.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to translate complex insights into practical solutions.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM13, RM16,000.00 per month
