Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting Executive to manage financial operations for our oil palm plantation business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plantation accounting, cost tracking, and compliance with agricultural and environmental financial regulations. You will play a key role in managing estate accounts, tracking production costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle full set of accounts
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for plantation operations.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly estate cost reports, including labour, fertilizer, repair and maintenance and harvesting costs.
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and statutory contributions for plantation staff.

·       Prepare payments to vendors and claims (process payment, payment voucher, receipt, cheques, online transactions)

  • Reconcile intercompany accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly management reports, yearly budgets, and forecasts specific to plantation operations.
  • Ensure proper tracking and capitalization of biological assets and capital expenditures (CAPEX).
  • Monitor and analyse cost of production (per MT of FFB or oil) and provide variance analysis.

·       Maintain proper filing of accounting documents for record keeping.

  • Liaise with estate managers, auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and industry standards.

·       Ad hoc assignments as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the plantation or agricultural industry.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in oil palm plantation operations or agricultural accounting.
  • Familiar with plantation cost structures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., AutoCount / UBS Software)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of biological asset valuation and sustainability reporting is a plus.
  • Proficient in three main languages is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to estates (if required).
