Job Summary:

To ensure that all scaffolding activities at the project site are carried out safely, in compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and project specifications. The Scaffolding Inspector is responsible for inspecting, certifying, and maintaining scaffolds to ensure structural integrity and safe access for site personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and project specifications.
  • Certify scaffolds as safe for use and tag them accordingly with scaffold tags (Green, Red, Yellow system).
  • Ensure all erected scaffolds are properly designed, built, and maintained according to approved drawings and load requirements.
  • Supervise and monitor scaffold erection, alteration, and dismantling activities by subcontractors or scaffolding teams.
  • Identify unsafe scaffolds, issue non-compliance reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of scaffold inspections, permits, and scaffold tagging registers.
  • Liaise closely with the Safety Officer, Site Engineers, and Supervisors to coordinate safe access arrangements.
  • Provide guidance and toolbox talks to site workers regarding scaffold safety and best practices.
  • Ensure that scaffolding materials are stored, maintained, and handled correctly.
  • Participate in site safety audits, meetings, and incident investigations as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Construction, Safety, or relevant field.
  • Must possess a valid DOSH Scaffolding Inspector Certificate (Perakuan Pemeriksa Perancah).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in scaffolding inspection for construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiar with CIDB, DOSH, and OSHA 1994 regulations.
  • Strong understanding of scaffold types (e.g., tubular, modular, system scaffold) and safe load limits.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site teams.
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious with a proactive attitude toward hazard identification.

Job Type: Full-time
