Job Summary:
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring workplace safety compliance at the
construction site. This role involves daily inspections, safety briefings, risk
assessments, documentation, and assisting in implementing the Project Safety Plan
(PSP) according to the company's EHS policies and legal regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Workplace Safety Inspection & Compliance
o Conduct daily inspections to identify potential hazards related to machinery, equipment, substances, and work processes.
o Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and company policies.
o Report safety concerns and recommend corrective actions to the Person-In-Charge (PIC).
- Worker Safety & Permit Compliance
o Verify workers' induction stickers, daily work permits, and CIDB Green Cards before allowing access to the worksite.
o Ensure all workers comply with site safety rules and regulations.
- Safety Meetings & Training
o Conduct daily toolbox meetings before work begins.
o Assist in planning and conducting safety induction programs for new employees and site workers.
o Support the EHS Manager/Safety and Health Officer in organizing in house safety training sessions.
- Site Inspections & Audits
o Participate in Safety Walkabouts, Site Safety Inspections, and Safety Audits with the EHS team.
o Assist in implementing the Permit to Work (PTW) system to ensure all activities adhere to the Project Safety Plan (PSP).
o Always monitor and enforce safe work procedures.
- Incident Investigation & Reporting
o Assist in investigating accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and occupational health issues.
o Collect data and prepare reports on safety incidents and statistics.
o Ensure that all incidents are recorded and reported to the EHS Manager.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance
o Ensure compliance with local regulatory authorities such as DOSH, CIDB, JKKP, and other relevant bodies.
o Assist in preparing and maintaining legal registers and safety records.
o Support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Committee in conducting workplace inspections before the Monthly Safety & Health
Meeting.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping
o Maintain and update safety records, checklists, and reports within the EHS department.
o Ensure proper filing and traceability of all safety-related documents.
- Other Responsibilities
o Assist the client's EHS Department and the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) when required.
o Perform any other safety-related tasks as instructed by the EHS Manager or management.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) with at least 5 years of relevant site safety experience in construction or project environments.
Possess valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification and CIDB Green Card; familiar with DOSH, CIDB, and JKKP requirements.
Good knowledge of OSH regulations, Permit to Work (PTW), risk assessment, and site safety inspection practices.
Able to communicate effectively, conduct toolbox meetings, maintain safety documentation, and work independently on-site.

Pay: RM3, RM6,500.00 per month
