Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain internal web applications to support our service operations (booking flow, customer management, reporting, automation, etc.).
  • ⁠Build responsive front-end interfaces using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Develop and integrate APIs to connect our internal tools with third-party services (e.g. WhatsApp, email, payment, AI )
  • ⁠Work on back-end logic / similar) for business workflows, data processing, and integrations.
  • Design and optimize database structures (e.g. MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB) for speed and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, and management to turn real service needs into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues in production systems used by internal teams.
  • Improve system performance, security, and usability over time.
  • Document features, APIs and workflows clearly for internal users and future developers.

Requirements

  • ⁠Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in web development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and React (Hooks, functional components, state management).
  • ⁠Experience with at least one back-end framework (e.g. / Express or similar).
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON and HTTP.
  • Hands-on experience with databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
  • Familiarity with Git and team-based development (branches, pull requests).
  • Experience building internal admin panels / CRM / booking systems / platform.
  • Experience with task queues, background jobs, or automation tools.
  • Able to work closely with non-technical teams and translate their needs into system features.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate in Chinene & English (spoken & written).
  • ⁠Based in or willing to relocate to Penang.
  • Candidates with understanding or hands-on exposure to AI/LLM (e.g. OpenAI, Azure AI, LangChain) will have a higher advantage.
