We are seeking a highly skilled ESB Developer to develop and maintain an integration solutions using API and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies using IBM technology. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development of API and ESB services

a. Work with peers and project managers to understand integration requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals.

b. Develop and maintain end-to-end integration solutions, including APIs, middleware, and ESB systems.

c. Build custom integrations using programming languages such as Java, Python, Gateway script or JavaScript, and integration platforms (e.g., IBM App Connect, IBM MQ).

d. Implement and configure API gateways for security, traffic management, and monitoring.

e. Optimize API performance and troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues.

1. Data Transformation & Mapping

a. Manage data translation, transformation, and mapping between heterogeneous systems and data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, ISO8583).

b. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across integration flows and migrations.

1. Testing & Quality Assurance

a. Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate integration functionality.

b. Ensure all solutions meet business, performance, and compliance requirements before deployment.

1. Monitoring, Maintenance & Troubleshooting

a. Continuously monitor integration pipelines to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.

b. Assist support team to investigate and resolve integration issues, applying root-cause analysis and proactive improvements.

1. Standards & Best Practices

a. Adhere to SDLC and EPF processes and organizational coding standards.

b. Utilize CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated testing to ensure efficient, reliable deployments.

c. Implement and maintain security and compliance standards across all integration endpoints.

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in IBM API Gateway and IBM App Connect for API and ESB development, implementation and production support.
• Strong in integration programming languages and scripting, such as ESQL, Java, and Unix shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, MQ (Message Queuing), threading, and caching mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM5, RM9,000.00 per month
