Role Description

• To provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.
• Responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.
• Assessing method of testing, and explaining procedure to patient.
• Performed 2D ultrasound scans on Abdomen, Pelvis, Thyroid, Antenatal, Breast, Obstetric, Vascular scans, as well as other examinations as required under minimal supervision.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
• Use independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
• Prepared the preliminary sonographer reports and assessed the technical quality and completeness of ultrasounds performed.
• Monitored patient comfort level during testing and followed established policies and procedures to ensure the care and safety of the patient while undergoing ultrasound examinations.
• Analyse sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician.
• Coordinate work schedule to assure workload coverage.
• Assist with the daily operations of the sonographic room and patient preparation.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate Sonography education, training, and experience or Certificate of Competency awarded by the KKM, or Conjoint Boards of Sonographers
• Minimum of Diploma / Bachelor in Medical Sciences/Technology/Diagnostic Sciences (Medical Imaging).
• Minimum 1-2 years of sonography experiences including handling various kinds of treatment machines/planning procedures.
• Good communications skills, initiative and passion for patient care.
• Able to adapt and flexible to changes within the organization
• Able to work in minimal supervision
• A good team player, a detailed and result oriented person.
