About the role

The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT equipment, and assisting in the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems. The role ensures that users receive timely and effective IT assistance to maintain business productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
  • Maintain and track IT assets, licenses, and documentation.
  • Assist in network setup, connectivity, and system security support.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and prepare regular IT support reports.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT or technical support.
  • Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and remote support tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage):

  • CompTIA A+ / Network+
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation
