We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the project by attending meetings, monitoring progress, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend all site meetings, subcontractor meetings, and site inspections as and when called upon by the Main Contractor, Consultants, and the owner.
  • Monitor site progress and check all structural opening dimensions according to layout drawings.
  • Liaise with the Architect, M&E Consultant, Structural Consultant, Main Contractor, and Clerk of Works if a discrepancy arises.
  • Ensure that a reasonably safe working environment is provided by the Main Contractor for our workers.
  • Prepare and submit the First Schedule (3 months before installation work commences) and attend all local authority inspections.
  • Be accountable for installation quality and safety performance.
  • Be responsible for the administrative activities of the project.
  • Follow up on the collection of all payments due and prepare the submission of the debtor's collection report monthly.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or any related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of the lift and escalator industry is an added advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and third-party contractors.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as and when required.
