About the role

We are seeking a talented Nutritionist/Dietician to join our team at Edon Pharmacy in Kuching, Sarawak. As a full-time member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing nutrition and dietary guidance to our patients and customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.

What you'll be doing

  1. Client Consultation: Provide evidence-based nutrition advice tailored to individual needs, lifestyle, and health objectives.
  2. Nutritional Assessment: Conduct basic health screenings (e.g., BMI, body composition analysis) to support recommendations.
  3. Product Advisory: Guide customers in selecting appropriate health supplements, functional foods, and wellness products available in-store.
  4. Educational Outreach: Deliver talks, workshops, or demonstrations to raise awareness of healthy eating practices and preventive nutrition.
  5. Customer Service: Ensure a professional and supportive environment that fosters trust and long-term client relationship.
  6. Assist with point-of-sale activities, inventory management, merchandising and compliance.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field
  2. Current registration as a Dietitian or Nutritionist with the relevant professional body
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a community pharmacy or hospital environment
  4. Strong knowledge of human nutrition, dietary requirements, and evidence-based nutritional therapies
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients
  6. Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and the use of nutrition-related software and technologies
  7. Compassionate and patient-centred approach, with a genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes
