OVID Inspector

Overview

We are seeking qualified OVID Inspectors to conduct vessel inspections for offshore support vessels (OSVs) in line with OCIMF OVID requirements for marine assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform OVID inspections covering safety, engineering, navigation, DP systems, emergency preparedness, and crew competence.
• Review vessel documentation (certs, manuals, SMS, drills, DP/FMEA, maintenance logs).
• Conduct interviews with vessel crew and assess operational safety practices.
• Prepare OVID reports, findings, and closure recommendations for upload to OCIMF.
• Coordinate with vessel owners, charterers, and client marine assurance teams.
• Support follow-up inspections when required.

Requirements

• Valid OVID Inspector accreditation (mandatory).
• 10+ years marine or offshore vessel experience (Master/Chief Engineer preferred).
• Strong understanding of OCIMF requirements, ISM Code, IMCA guidelines, DP operations, and offshore vessel technical systems.
• Competent in report writing and digital submission via OVID platform.
