About the role

KW METAL WORKS SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented Draughtman to join our team in Mount Austin Johor. As a Draughtman, you will play a crucial role in the Engineering Drafting division, contributing to the design and development of our innovative products. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to create detailed technical drawings and diagrams
2. Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D models, blueprints, and schematics
3. Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of design iterations and changes
5. Providing technical support and guidance to production teams during the manufacturing process
6. Continuously exploring new techniques and technologies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the drafting process

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting or a related field
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar Draughtman role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
3. Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve design-related issues
6. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams
7. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends
