Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and create detailed technical specifications.
  • Develop application features based on requirements and create test plans and test scripts for Unit Testing (UT), User Acceptance Testing Workshop (UATW), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and System Integration Testing (SIT).
  • Ensure that the code developed aligns with project requirements and perform Performance Tuning in affected programs.
  • Investigate and resolve defects or issues within defined priorities and timelines.
  • Support technical troubleshooting across the full stack, including applications, databases, and servers.
  • Stay updated with and apply modern programming practices and design patterns.
  • Engage directly with business users to gather requirements and provide regular updates on development progress.
  • Prepare detailed and structured test plans (Unit, Integration, UAT) covering the full loan lifecycle — from initiation and disbursement to repayment and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or any equivalent
  • Required skill(s): Hands on experience in Java, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL, and at least one additional programming language. Familiar with Version Control Systems such as SVN and Git. Knowledge of Groovy, Grails, and SVN is a plus. Experienced with mobile frameworks like Flutter and Ionic. Familiarity with Spring and Spring Boot is an added advantage.
  • Key quality(s): Able to work independently with minimal supervision, team player, quick learner, proactive, good analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work long hours on weekend or public holidays when required
  • Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Desired experience/exposure: Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in software development or programming. Hands-on experience with code merging, code reviews, and some exposure to Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) processes, particularly using Jenkins.
