Innovative University College (IUC) is expanding its leadership team and invites applications from forward-thinking, committed, and visionary leaders for the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor.

As a growing institution, IUC is dedicated to advancing transformative education, strengthening industry-driven programs, and elevating student success. The Deputy Vice Chancellor will play a key role in shaping the university's next phase of growth by supporting the Vice Chancellor in strategic leadership, academic innovation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Institutional & Strategic Leadership

  • Support and advise the Vice Chancellor in steering IUC's long-term strategy, academic direction, and organisational development.
  • Provide leadership across academic, administrative, and corporate functions to ensure alignment with IUC's mission and growth aspirations.

Academic Innovation & Research Development

  • Strengthen IUC's academic portfolio through continuous improvement, benchmarking, and development of new market-relevant programs.
  • Drive research culture, scholarly activities, and industry-based projects that enhance IUC's academic reputation.

Student Experience & Well-Being

  • Lead initiatives that enhance student engagement, welfare, and holistic development.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality support services and enriching student experiences.

Quality, Governance & Compliance

  • Oversee adherence to MOHE, MQA, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Implement progressive quality assurance processes to maintain academic integrity and program excellence.

External Engagement & Partnerships

  • Represent IUC in meetings, conferences, and engagements with regulatory bodies, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Strengthen collaborations that contribute to program relevance, employability, and institutional visibility.

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise key operational functions including campus development, institutional branding, and financial planning.
  • Ensure efficient and effective daily operations in alignment with IUC's strategic goals.

Program & Product Development

  • Lead the creation of new academic offerings based on emerging trends, industry needs, and student interests.
  • Guide market research and curriculum design to ensure competitiveness and future-readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD from a recognised university
    (required).
  • Senior leadership experience within higher education, preferably in academic management or institutional development roles.
  • Proven abilities in strategic planning, academic governance, and operational leadership.
  • Strong business understanding and the ability to drive sustainable growth.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian higher education regulations, QA standards, and accreditation processes.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading teams, fostering innovation, and inspiring organisational excellence.
  • Commitment to advancing teaching quality, student development, and impactful academic outcomes.
