About the Role

This is a hands-on role for a strong storyteller and communicator who can bring HMI Medical's purpose, services, and people to life across multiple touchpoints across Southeast Asia. You will lead and produce content for service marketing, health awareness campaigns, social media, CRM/lifecycle journeys and brand communications, and corporate reputation purposes primarily in Singapore and Malaysia. You must be comfortable in a solo contributor role who can think independently, strategically and write with clarity and yet be equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to produce, refine, and publish high-quality content across different marketing channels and communication channels. Ultimately, your work will help patients understand their health, support service demand, and strengthen trust in HMI's care ecosystem in multiple markets across Southeast Asia – Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and execute multimedia content plans across website, EDMs, landing pages, brochures, and campaign assets to promote key services, specialties, and healthcare awareness topics that supports HMI Medical's business units.
  • Create engaging, human interest content that builds visibility, trust, and community across channels that spotlight services, doctors, community initiatives, partners.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end content creation, from gathering inputs and shaping key messages to writing, reviewing, and final publishing across all channels.
  • Use channel-specific performance data to optimize formats, topics, storytelling, and posting cadence.
  • Work with Marketing Leads, Digital and CRM teams at entity levels in Singapore and Malaysia to create clear and effective copy for customer marketing experiences across CRM and lifecycle journeys - including onboarding, reminders, health education flows, corporate client journeys, and reactivation touchpoints.

PR, Media & Reputation Communications

  • Support corporate communications, including award submissions and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify media relations opportunities and develop supporting materials (including press releases, pitches, briefing documents with talking points) to maintain clarity and consistency in HMI Medical's brand voice across all materials
  • Support the VP, Brand & Communications in building long-term trust with partners, regulators, media, and communities
  • Track media coverage and support reputation-related communications when required.

Group Brand Communications & Storytelling

  • Assist in messaging development for new health service announcements, signature event launches, partnership milestones and anniversaries.
  • Develop leadership communications by drafting talking points, speeches, profiles, and opinion editorial pieces and ensure all content aligns with HMI's brand guidelines, editorial standards, and healthcare advertising regulations
  • Manage and deliver regional internal communications activities for HMI Medical, including corporate events such as virtual or physical CEO townhalls, and other significant announcements.

Sustainability Communications

  • Support the VP, Brand & Communications in managing third party vendors and agency partners in the development of HMI Medical's sustainability report
  • Identify communication opportunities and create a sustainability content plan to elevate HMI Medical's contributions to environmental protection and social impact, while ensuring a close connection to our Purpose
  • Plan and operationalize all sustainability initiatives within the Group sustainability framework and collaborate with necessary internal and external stakeholders in Singapore and Malaysia for sustainability reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations or similar fields
  • 4–8 years' experience in content, communications, editorial, PR, or marketing communications.
  • Strong storytelling ability with proven skill in simplifying complex or clinical information.
  • Hands-on content creator with experience delivering across multiple formats (social, web, CRM, campaign, corporate).
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and clinicians, and managing multiple timelines.
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong writing, editing, and attention to detail and excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to undertake work travels when required, to SEA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to measuring and optimizing campaign performance.
  • Ex-agency or ex-journalist experiences in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam will be an advantage.
