We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating multiple machines (Manual lathe, Slotting, Drilling and Milling) and a strong understanding of machining processes. You will be responsible for producing high-quality mechanical components that meet precise specifications and maintaining the efficiency of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathe machines to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Follow work instruction from superior and able to complete the task on time. (as per cycle time or target assigned)
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Understand and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve optimal performance and precision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of proven experience as a lathe machinist, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a machining environment.
  • Minimum SPM or equivalent; vocational or technical training.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,200.00 per month
