Overall Purpose of the Job
Providing reservoir engineering input for selection of well stimulation candidates in a multilayered reservoir by studying over all reservoir model, in terms of leftover oil, water saturation estimation.
Principle Duties
• Review reservoir and production data.
• Integrate geological, petrophysical and production information.
• Identify optimum stimulation candidates.
• Correlate reservoir zones across nearby wells.
• Evaluate remaining oil saturation.
• Estimate production potential after stimulation.
• Prepare technical justification for candidate selection.
• Work with stimulation engineers to optimize treatment design.
• Monitor post-treatment performance.
• Refine prediction models using field results.
• Present recommendations to clients.
• Follow professional work ethics and HSE regulations. Knowledge/Experience Required for the Job
• Minimum 20 years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream oil & gas.
• At least 10 years directly involved in mature field production optimization and well stimulation candidate selection.
• Experience with carbonate and sandstone reservoirs.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams comprising reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, geologists, production engineers and stimulation engineers.
• Experience with national or international oil companies or reputable service companies.
• Hands on experience with the industry software like OFM, Eclipse, Advance Excel data analysis. Academic/Professional Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• Master's degree in Reservoir Engineering preferred.
• Membership of professional bodies desirable. Skills
• Proven hands-on experience in mature reservoir evaluation in terms of Static and dynamic reservoir characterization, Water saturation evaluation, Remaining hydrocarbon assessment, Reservoir compartmentalization and connectivity.
• Well Candidate Selection for Stimulation by Screening wells for acidizing and hydraulic fracturing, Evaluating bypassed pay. Identifying damaged intervals, Assessing depletion level, Studying production logging results, Assessing water breakthrough, Reviewing offset well performance, Ranking stimulation candidates.
