JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement project activities throughout project planning, execution and completion.
- Liaise with Client, Client representatives, Authorities, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to ensure timely execution and quality of work.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members for the implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and execution of contract requirements.
- Plan project manpower, materials, equipment and other resources required for the project.
- Plan and coordinate with Client on logistic issues.
- Assist in post-contract administration which includes attending client/consultant site meeting, cost comparison exercise, variation order claim, site inspection when necessary, checking on interim payment recommended by contractors and final account statement.
- Manage time and cost to achieve optimum results for both the Client and the Management.
- Assist the Project Manager to review the project schedule, initiate corrective actions and ensure projects run smoothly to meet the project’s completion schedule and within the project budget.
- Report on the progress of the construction works and properly resolving all conflicts issues.
- Assist in liaison with authorities particularly on building, structural and infrastructures; related processes including seeking for approval, testing and commissioning and ensure site safety and site environment is suitable for work.
- Assist in obtaining certificate of fitness for infrastructures and handing it over to relevant authorities.
- Attend to building, structural and infrastructures’ joint inspection with authorities, consultants and contractors.
- Ensure calibration of measuring equipment.
- Assist to witness cube test and other testing when required.
- Undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by the Project Manager and Directors. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Degree in Construction and Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
- Must be a CIDB green card holder.
- Minimum five (5) years working experience in Project Construction, in similar position or related working experience.
- Preferably candidates with extension working experience in construction management, development professional, highly competent to resolve all construction issues for fast-track projects.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, technical and project management principles.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skill to communicate with other team members.
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, multi task, problem solving skills, independent and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of site safety plan and safety activities operation flow.
- Proficiency in English and Malay and computer literate.
