About the role
The Breakdown/Corrective Maintenance Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating breakdown and corrective maintenance activities on port equipment, including container handling and sulphur handling equipment. The role involves leading maintenance technicians in responding to equipment failures, prioritizing repair activities, and ensuring timely and effective equipment recovery to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
•Supervise breakdown and corrective maintenance activities on port equipment, ensuring maintenance work is executed efficiently and in accordance with operational requirements. •Lead the maintenance team in responding to equipment breakdowns, ensuring effective troubleshooting, repair execution and timely equipment recovery. •Coordinate manpower, tools, spare parts and consumables to ensure breakdown maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and without unnecessary delays. •Monitor and review work orders for breakdown and corrective maintenance, ensuring proper job details, maintenance findings and completion status are accurately recorded in CMMS •Provide technical guidance and support to technicians in troubleshooting complex equipment failures and identifying appropriate corrective actions. •Conduct Root Cause Analysis Report for each of breakdown to prevent repetitive failure. •Coordinate emergency repair activities, housekeeping, technical reporting, and follow up actions to ensure smooth and reliable maintenance operations.
