Responsibilities:

Providing the services include but are not limited to the following:

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all required local tax returns;
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.

Tax Planning:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company and clients’ tax liability;
  • Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

Financial Reporting:

  • Collaborate with the account team to ensure accurate tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements;
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to taxes for management and external stakeholders.

Audit Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during tax audits;
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation to support the company and clients’ tax positions.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations;
  • Analyze and interpret tax regulations to ensure the compliance.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support;
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the tax department.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as audit, account, and legal, to ensure alignment on tax-related matters;
  • Provide tax-related training and support to other teams as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

  • 准备并提供必要文件，支持公司和客户的税收立场。

研究和分析:

  • 对复杂的税收问题进行研究，并提供建议;
  • 分析和解释税收法规，确保合规性。

团队领导:

  • 领导和发展一支税务专业人员团队，提供指导和支持;
  • 在税务部门内营造协作高效的工作环境。

跨职能协作:

  • 与其他部门（如审计、会计和法务）合作，确保在税务事项上保持一致;
  • 根据需要向其他团队提供与税收相关的培训和支持。

额外职责

  • 执行分配的其他临时任务。

Requirements:

Education

Tax Supervisor

  • At least a Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Auditing or equivalent; OR
  • A professional qualification under MIA, MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent

Tax Manager

  • At least a Degree in Finance/Accounting/Auditing or equivalent; OR
  • A professional qualification under MIA, MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent

Experience

Tax Supervisor

  • Four years of experience in tax practice or a related field
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience
  • Have experience in leading a team of 3 or more

Tax Manager

  • Six years of experience in tax practice or a related field
  • 2-3 years of managerial experience
  • Have experience in leading a team of 3 or more

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail and resourcefulness
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Demonstrating out-of-the-box thinking and self-motivation
  • Proactive attitude and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent client relationship and time management skills
  • High integrity, excellent work ethics, and a strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and discipline
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work in a cloud and fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savviness with knowledge of Google Applications and proficiency in using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are added advantages
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak and write Mandarin will be an added advantage
