Purpose of the role
The Inbound Manager for Latin Markets acts as a crucial link between a new key account partner and our suppliers. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing business relationships with Spanish, Portuguese and Italian-speaking clients and their customers travelling to Malaysia and Singapore. The role is a diverse one covering product development, quotations, reservations, quality control and strategic planning. We are looking for an experienced candidate with proven ability and track record in the Latin Inbound market for both of these destinations.
Overall responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and planning of new and existing business strategies for Italian, Spanish and Latin markets;
- Liaise with customers to understand and anticipate their requirements in collaboration with all relevant departments;
- Work with different departments in Malaysia and Singapore and their respective managers to focus on sales, product development, operations, quality control measures and customer relations;
- Handle all programmes, itineraries, quotations, accounting matters as well as product development for the departments;
- Work in alignment with the company’s SOP and corporate guidelines in daily operations;
- Keep in regular communication with new and existing accounts in the market while working towards mutually sustainable growth;
- Be involved in ongoing product development, pricing and itinerary creation for new and existing customers based on trends and demands from the markets;
- Design and host/coordinate inspection trips for agent familiarisation trips leading to new business and, where needed, meet customers in Malaysia and Singapore;
- Provide training for respective employees;
- This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree/higher education in the hospitality and tourism industry;
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company;
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in managerial level;
- Proven track record of individual or group handling capabilities;
- Ability to develop quality management, coordination and coaching techniques;
- Good command of English is essential (both verbal and written);
- Knowledge of Malaysia, Singapore and other Asian destinations is an advantage;
- Experience with Destination Management software is an advantage;
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications and excellent computing skills;
