Our Client is a games development studio founded in 2008 - Malaysia. They are a tech focused studio with both internal IP(s) and external co-development projects. They build games over multiple platforms, primarily focused on PC (Unreal Engine). Their flagship IP Eximius: Seize the Frontline is a full serviced multiplayer 5v5 FPS/RTS hybrid squad based combat game, launched 2021 on both Steam, then the Epic Games Store. They provide full cycle, co-development, consulting, and virtual production support to our external partners. Today they are a team of forty-five full-time internal developers and growing.

The Role:
Our Client is on the lookout for great full-time talents in Game Programming and Development to join their fast growing team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with their core team in developing highly engaging, polished, and industry standard interactive game products, full cycle from its core conception to market launch in their many internal and external projects.

Role Descriptions: 
Principal Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the team and project stakeholders in all aspects of game development. To produce robust, optimized and maintainable code bases for game prototyping, core functionality, game mechanics, and engine features, maintenance, and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the programmers in developing, profiling, optimizing, and debugging code to meet the project’s performance, platform, and quality requirements. Contributing in code reviews, maintenance tests, and documentation.
  • Work closely with multiple disciplines, in designing, planning and ascertaining accurate production estimates, to identify any potential pitfalls during development. To ensure a player-first approach, delivering a first class experience for our players.

Team and Personal Responsibilities
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, is able to effectively liaise over various disciplines, and stakeholders across different project and approval stages.
  • Experienced, or keen to learn and improve new pipeline and production practices through iterative development methodologies, be it traditional or agile workflows.
  • Constantly familiarizing and keeping updated with current industry standards, trends, pipelines, and software to effectively and consistently hit higher graphical benchmarks.

Skill Descriptions: 
Core Requirements
  • Experience in developing code for Game Engine(s).
  • Experience in C++, C#, etc. Coding Principles.
  • Experience in Version Control Software (SVN, Git, Perforce, etc.).
  • Experience in Debugging, Optimizing, and Scaling code bases.
  • Experience in Traditional and or Agile work environments and methodologies.
  • Good problem-solving acumen, with a creative aptitude for unique solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in a typical game development cycle.
  • Is Proficient in English, verbal and written.

Supplementary Skills
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4, and or 5 and its set of features (Level, Slate, Widget UI, Material, Persona Animation, Niagara, etc.).
  • Experience with other Game Engine(s).

Beneficial & Bonus Skills
  • Experience in Advanced Unreal Engine series of features (Multiplayer and Networking; Asset Management; Rendering Pipeline (Nanite and Lumen); Gameplay Ability System (GAS), etc.).
  • Experience in cross-platform game development (Desktop, Console, Mobile).
  • Experience in various hardware and platforms (Mobile, Console, PC, etc.).
