JOB PURPOSE:

To lead and manage the resources including manpower in the production to achieve customer’s quality requirements and fulfill delivery schedule accordingly. Work toward a continuous improvement program to deliver an effective, efficient and safety production environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead production team and manage the manufacturing process to ensure products are produced in accordance with established standards.
  2. Coordinate with various functions of the company to establish an accepted production schedule to optimize company’s resources.
  3. Conduct continuous improvement and implement effective control mechanisms to maximize resource utilization & achieve high productivity and operations efficiency while maintaining product quality and competitive cost structure.
  4. Ensure compliance to ISO, OSHA requirements and other related management systems adopted by the company.
  5. Plan, organize, direct and manage manpower and equipment capacity to maximize utilization in meeting production schedules.
  6. Analyze and prepare necessary reports of monthly production efficiency and capacity for management review.
  7. Initiate problem-solving and troubleshooting processes to reduce production-related problems & quality issues.
  8. Responsible for manufacturing cost control, raw material usage and waste control.
  9. Manage production planning to ensure production output is meeting delivery plan.
  10. Work with Sales, Marketing and related personnel in solving customer complaints related to product quality to satisfy customer requirements.
  11. Other job responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

COMPETENCIES:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience in production knowledge specializing in manufacturing of paper products field or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese.
  • Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and reports.
  • Good ability to plan, organize, evaluate and lead production schedule and direct work of all production-related operations.
  • Exhibit a good attitude and demonstrate interpersonal skills to work with people from different backgrounds.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Outstanding communication ability.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Experience in paper packaging or printing manufacturing line is preferred.
  • ISO 9000 knowledge will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call

Supplemental Pay:

  • 13th month salary
  • Yearly bonus
