What you'll do:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute cloud security engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and according to quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the cloud security engineering team, resolving technical challenges and promoting best practices.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the cloud security engineering team including task assignment, performance evaluation and career development.
  • Design and implement security architectures for cloud environments, addressing infrastructure, platform and application security.
  • Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies for cloud environments, enhancing security posture and automation capabilities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans for cloud-based systems, identifying and prioritising platform and infrastructure risks.
  • Maintain documentation of cloud security architecture, policies, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiatives.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s and or Master’s degree in Computer Science or any related discipline.
  • There will be an added advantage for those with the following certifications:
  • Google Certified Professional Data Engineer.
  • More than 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, cloud security engineering or any related field.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing cloud security engineering initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of various cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated security features, services and best practices.
  • Exhibit creativity to build, design, deploy, maintain and lead the implementation of cloud solutions across multiple public cloud offerings, e.g. Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba and Private Cloud.
  • Ability to implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to develop, enhance and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools.
  • Exposure in Bash scripting, Python, Ansible, GitOps and/or Terraform will be an added advantage.
  • Exhibits strong communication and writing skills, conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
