responsibilities

  • Establish the technical direction for your tribe or product team and devise a roadmap for its technical advancements.
  • Serve as an inspiring example for your technical team members, leading by demonstration and influencing stakeholders in product and business domains.
  • Advocate for engineering excellence by promoting coding and deployment best practices, ensuring robust code coverage, and maintaining a clean codebase for enhanced maintainability and security.
  • Emphasize writing clean, sustainable code and encourage the adoption of software development best practices such as TDD, peer coding/review, and design patterns.
  • Maintain a balance between rapid iteration and avoiding technical debt, actively managing and planning for the repayment of accrued technical debts alongside product enhancements.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, fostering collaboration and efficiently coordinating with other teams despite lacking formal authority.
  • Contribute to other codebases or core application frameworks, fostering a culture of open-source collaboration within the engineering community.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within teams, embracing a culture of rapid experimentation and learning from failures.
  • Provide mentorship to engineers within your team, overseeing their performance and professional development.experience required
    • Proficiency in Node.js and Typescript, along with expertise in Cloud technologies and Distributed Systems.
    • Extensive experience in domain-driven design, particularly in tactical patterns.
    • Solid understanding of modern web technologies such as React, Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their construction.
    • Aptitude for RESTful APIs and exploration of GraphQL.
    • Experience in designing and implementing databases for microservices, including technologies like MySQL/Postgresql, MongoDB, and tools for caching like Redis.
    • Proficiency in Test-Driven Development and familiarity with highly scalable and distributed systems.
    • Hands-on experience in building distributed tracing and logging systems.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Demonstrated experience working in multinational environments using agile methodologies such as SCRUM and LESS.
    • A commitment to lifelong learning, keeping abreast of new technology stacks, tools, and engineering trends.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
