Job Description

Join the People Solutions team as Sr. HR Business Partner providing strategic consultation to the leaders across Malaysia. In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives that result in business value and impact. You will also partner with the business to execute and realize the goals of our people strategy and support the strategic direction of the talent development and enablement needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Own the strategic functional-level people agenda for the business and engage as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant to a group of senior leaders and site GMs.
  2. Work in collaboration with COE partners to review and prioritize actions driving right balance on enterprise-wide and functional initiatives.
  3. Advance business strategies through a multi-faceted people strategy working closely with leadership.
  4. Execute the phases of WD’s integrated talent management process; own and drive expected outcomes.
  5. Conduct organizational design efforts and implement associated actions.
  6. Assess, develop, and coach executives and senior leadership teams.
  7. Lead change management initiatives with a focus on culture, leadership capabilities, and engagement.
  8. Engage in strategic workforce planning & optimization.
  9. Analyze external and internal trends and conduct regular, inclusive listening sessions to develop data-driven insights that inform your work.
  10. Amplify and extend DE&I into everything you do, in alignment with enterprise focus.
  11. Respond as needed to global or local crises affecting WD employees; act as an early warning signal for executives and the People Solutions leadership team.
  12. Act as a steward of the People Solutions model.
  13. Partner closely with People Solutions teams across COEs and business & people partner teams.
  14. Provide country level direction and leadership on people matters where needed.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with Master's degree or relevant certification preferred.
  2. 10-12 years of experience in Human Resources or People Organization; people leadership experience preferred.
  3. Demonstrates an inclusive leadership style with an emphasis on results and collaborating with a high performing team.
  4. Proven track record of influencing, leading and facilitating strategic initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders.
  5. Understands competitor and industry dynamics ideally in manufacturing/operations, and how the business operates.
  6. Exercises a global mindset and approaches differences with curiosity; experience working and navigating globally preferred.
  7. Conducts diagnostics, develops strategies and implements solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  8. Leads and supports transformation and change by helping the company and individuals accept and embrace change in a way that positively shapes the future.
  9. Prioritizes delivering company imperatives while balancing the goals of one's own organizational imperatives.
  10. Approaches problems from a systems perspective by defining connections and interdependencies, and understands how decisions have systematic consequences.
  11. Gathers insights and data to help leaders and teams make effective decisions that drives the right outcomes.
  12. Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills (including presentation skills) across levels, with an ability to persuade and influence, and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment.
  13. Agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
  14. Goal-oriented, proactive, resourceful, accountable and passionate about driving results.
