Our client is a multinational company with a strong portfolio in the Malaysian market, highly focusing on industrial building projects. They have several projects across Malaysia and are seeking a suitable candidate to join them, primarily overseeing commercial and contract management for their industrial building projects, to be based in Melaka.

about the job
This role is primarily be tasked with commercial and contract management, leading the successful delivery of large or logistically challenging project.

  • Handling post tender management and cost planning
  • In charge of reviewing tender sums, terms and conditions in contract documents so projects tendered/awarded are successful
  • In charge of reviewing & the whole process of project from inception till completion such as pre to post contract and subsequently final accounts
  • Fully involved in technical matters relating to tendering such as cost calculation, estimation & compilation of required information
  • Fully involved in managing the contract terms and coming out with strategic solutions to terms that are not suitable
  • Full involved & experienced in sourcing matters such as sub-contractors, suppliers to get the best deals
  • Full involved & experienced in tracking project progress and handle contractual disputes to manage project costing
  • Heading a team of Quantity Surveyors

    about the manager/team
    You will be reporting to the Head of Contact and managing a team of Quantity Surveyors.

    skills and experience required

    • Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant.
    • Experience in fast track industrial construction projects is a must.
    • Able to work at Melaka.
    • Able to work under effectively under pressure and manage time-lines accordingly.
