Engineering Manager Position Overview:

As an Engineering Manager at, you will be a key driver of our technical projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will mentor, and inspire a team of skilled engineers, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and innovation.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements.
  3. Set clear goals for the engineering team, aligning them with company objectives, and track progress towards achieving them.
  4. Provide technical expertise and direction in the development of software solutions, ensuring best practices and high-quality coding standards.
  5. Oversee the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  6. Facilitate effective communication within the engineering team and across departments, ensuring seamless coordination and transparency.
  7. Identify and mitigate technical challenges and risks, making informed decisions to ensure project success.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending advancements to maintain our competitive edge.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and innovation within the engineering team.
Requirements
  • MS/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
  • 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience, best to have mobile development knowledge. Strong plus if also knows C++ and backend well
  • 3+ years of professional engineering management experience
  • Programming experience and understanding of modern technology including: (ReactJS/React Native, NodeJS, Kubernetes, GCP, MongoDB, Docker)
  • Experience managing cloud operations for reliability, scalability, and security in GCP/AWS
  • Experience recruiting, hiring and onboarding engineering talent
  • Strong sense of responsibility; driving initiatives from inception to completion
