The Vice President of Group MIS is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the organization's Information Technology functions. This includes cybersecurity, infrastructure management, application development, and leading digitalization initiatives. The role involves collaborating with executive leadership to align IT strategy with business objectives, ensuring the security and efficiency of IT operations, and driving innovation through digital transformation.

1. Cybersecurity Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to safeguard organizational assets and information.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and industry best practices to ensure proactive measures are in place.
  • Lead incident response and recovery efforts in the event of a cybersecurity incident.

2. Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT systems to support business operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects.

3. Application Development:

  • Provide strategic direction for the development and maintenance of applications to meet business requirements.
  • Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement within the application development team.
  • Collaborate with business units to prioritize and deliver high-impact software solutions.

4. Digitalization Projects:

  • Lead and drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes and customer experiences.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that align with the organization's digital strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute a roadmap for digitalization projects.

5. Enterprise Resource Planning

  • Determine the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) needs and identify suitable software for the business, working closely with consultants if required.
  • Project manage and implement ERP software Group-wide.
  • Lead the technical support and training for ERP end-users.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to IT staff, encouraging skill development and knowledge sharing.

7. Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Provide financial oversight for IT projects, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.

8. Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to manage vendor contracts, compliance, and risk.
