The orchestration team takes care of all orchestration needs of Grabber Technology solutions (GTS - Grab’s Enterprise IT team) and beyond. Our work directly enhances Grabbers' productivity by delivering time-saving features. We are looking for a Lead Engineer to lead the DevOps team within the orchestration team. The DevOps team, composed of Senior and Junior engineers, is responsible for development, testing, deployment , production support and maintenance of workflow automation and integration solutions predominantly built on iPaaS. The Lead Technical Engineer will play a critical role in driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Collaborate with the Solution architect to develop technical solutions aligning with business needs and organizational standards. This involves designing system architectures and proposing improvements.
  • Collaborate with Technical Program Managers for sprint planning and on-time delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members, staying updated on industry trends and ensuring compliance with regulations and security standards.
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices and oversee changes to the production environment.
  • Oversee the implementation of changes to the production environment, ensuring that changes are thoroughly tested, reviewed, and approved to minimize the risk of disruptions.
  • Handle escalations for critical and complex incidents, expediting resolutions to minimize business impact.
  • Monitor essential performance indicators (KPIs) daily, analyzing metrics to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Periodically Assess progress and quality of work with the DevOps manager for operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility to serve our stakeholders and Grabbers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles, emphasizing orchestration, automation, and cloud technologies. Hands-on experience in using popular orchestration tools such as TIBCO business works, Workato, Dell Boomi, Mulesoft etc., would be preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in leading technical teams in designing, implementing, and managing orchestration solutions in production, while engaging senior business and tech stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data query languages like SQL and understanding of data integration standards.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security Standards (NIST, COBIT, ISO270001) and Identity and Access Management standards and best practices (ABAC, RBAC, OAuth, SAML)
  • Experience working with Application integration via Secure API methods
  • Any prior experience in designing and implementing data transformation pipelines and workflows to process, cleanse, enrich, and aggregate large volumes of structured and unstructured data would be an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, mentor and coach team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on emerging technologies, and adaptability to rapid changes in technology and environments
