We are looking for a Subsea Engineer who can join our multicultural team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Providing structural and piping engineering solutions as part of subsea engineering team, in accordance with subsea standards, procedures, processes & project schedules. The candidate will be responsible for delivering Feasibility, Concept Select, Concept Definition/Pre-FEED & FEED scope associated with design of subsea structure including pipeline related structure & crossing supports for shallow and deep-water development.
About The Job
The primary responsibility for Subsea Engineer is to perform engineering assessment of subsea structure, technical report writing, weight take-off and cost estimation. The design scope covers subsea structure with piping assembly (PLEM, Manifold, PLET, FLET, riser base and crossing support structure).
Subsea Engineer role would be as follows:
- Subsea structural and piping design including all related technical deliverables.
- Subsea crossing support design including all related technical deliverables.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To understand the Project specifications and requirements.
- To perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations for subsea structures in accordance with industry recognized codes/standards and best practices.
- To ensure technical and quality compliance meeting functional and design requirements.
- To develop technical project documentation (e.g., structural, piping and crossing design reports).
- To prepare MTO and to provide support on cost estimation.
- To review and provide responses to Client comments.
- To review engineering drawings to ensure alignment with structure design and analysis.
- To assist the procurement and technical bid evaluation activities of long lead equipment and components.
- To manage and meet on-time delivery commitments.
- To interface with internal and external multi-disciplines for input and design alignment.
- To support internal project studies as required.
About You
Qualifications & Experience:
- Recognized Engineering Degree or equivalent (Master’s Degree in either Civil/Structural, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture).
- 2 to 5 years of related working experience.
- Good understanding of engineering principles.
- Good subsea engineering design experience (structural and piping highly preferred) is essential.
- Relevant experiences (flexible, umbilical, subsea controls and/or SPS) would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of industry codes (DNV, ISO, API, ASME, NORSOK, AISC).
- Knowledge of structural & piping software (ANSYS, SACS, Autopipe).
- Additional knowledge of Orcaflex and Abaqus would be an advantage.
- Ability to manage the work and interfaces within a project structure and organization.
- Knowledge of subsea system architectures and sound understanding of production system development.
- Competency in design and analysis software is highly preferred.
- Good computer literacy with competence in MS office software.
- Good command of English language, both written and spoken.
- Good & effective communication skills.
