Digital Sales Engineer Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

The role will involve customers engaging to actively encourage the transition towards digital integration, self-servicing, and digital interactions in collaboration with the e-commerce managers and other relevant stakeholders, and act as the human point of contact behind the digital relationship.

As the main sales point of contact with the assigned customers, the Digital Sales Engineer will provide pre- and post-sales support, drive the account strategy, establish relationships with the customer counterparts, supervise and understand customer needs and, align Emerson’s offerings to address them, in collaboration with subject matter authorities and Industry Leaders

 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Responsible for the achievement of Orders targets for the Measurement Solutions Portfolio within the agreed segment of customers through digital and remote interactions.
• Be responsible for the bookings forecast for the segment and ensure monthly delivery of the volume commitment
• Proactively work with customers to increase digital integration. Specially, to actively move all accounts that may place unsolicited orders or RFQs into a digital self-service platform. Be fluent in the benefits of digital integration and articulate a clear action plan for implementation.
• Act as single human point of contact to secure customer satisfaction during and after the transition. Provide pre- and post-sales support and regular follow-up. 
• Engage with customers through online chat tools, e-commerce platforms and other digital means (including Teams and phones) to assist customers in product selection, application support, access to expertise and placement of orders.
• Understand in full Emerson’s unique selling propositions and actively contextualize them to the customer industry needs to enhance business
• Monitor digital tools and CRM for leads. Proactively act on leads to convert potential business segments.
• Understand and use available data analytics and reports to optimize account growth strategies, including whitespace analysis, pricing actions and customer segmentation
• Drive the prospecting processes using various channels (MyEmerson, CRM, email, phone, LinkedIn, other digital platforms), identify and collaborate to exploit new LEADS at existing and new customers, markets and geographies. 
• Supervise and understand the driven environment at each account and work to displace competition and defend Emerson’s position
• Keep track and communicate customer activities to the wider organization through CRM
• Proactively detail and share success cases, customer feedback and quantifiable business results in the assigned customer segment.
• Actively coordinate with colleagues and orchestrate the support of subject matter experts, Product Managers, or other company stakeholders to build a compelling and differentiating value proposition for the selected customers
• Support the deployment of new digital tools and engagement platforms as new technologies become available. 
• Provide guidance and feedback to the organization for the improvement and development of new digital interaction tools.
• Observe the Business Ethics standards stipulated by Emerson.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Works closely with the immediate leader to participate on continuous process improvement.
• Provides full backup coverage for the other project execution engineer as and when required.
• Keeps the management team advised of areas of conflict that go unresolved or may pose a threat to Emerson.
• Assists customers in handling, servicing, follow-up, communication and closure of issues.
• Adheres to shift schedules and attendance expectations to ensure consistent support to customers and a balanced workload for peers.
• Coordinates with other teams/support to complete the request of customers. 
• Plans, implements, and manages own workload and projects in collaboration with line leaders.
• Participates in team meetings, huddles, and information cascades.
• Fulfils other reasonable duties and projects as required.
  
   
  
   

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Proven experience with min 3 years experience in process instrumentation and product/project marketing, proposals, or sales.
• Experience with Flow Measurement products will be added advantage such as Coriolis, Electromagnetic, Vortex, Ultrasonic, Differential Pressure, Density& Viscosity 
• Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Engineering
• Excellent analytical skills and results oriented.
• Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
• Hands-on engineering knowledge with focus on customer needs and happiness
• Advance knowledge in Microsoft office applications & other web-based applications.
• Willing to travel outstation/overseas.
