Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions.Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.Recording patient vital signs and medical information.Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.Administering non-intravenous medications.Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses.Involved in Quality Improvement activities in the hospital.Act as Infection Prevention & Control Link Nurses in the assigned area.Able to work in rotation to the assigned areas deemed by the hospital.

Diploma in Nursing.Post-basic certificate or Bachelor in Nursing will be an advantage.Experience in Labour Room, Maternity Ward, Paediatric Ward and Nursery Unit would be preferred.Obtain current Annual Practicing Certificate as Registered Nurse with Nursing Board of MalaysiaBLS certification and NRP certification will be an advantage.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.Basic computer skills.Professional, friendly attitude.Active listening and communications skills; great oral and written communication skills to work effectively with people and relate with patients. They must also be able to listen to patients with empathy and genuine careSound Judgment: They require this skill to apply initiative, consult with obstetricians, and refer patients when necessaryCollaborative skills: They must be able to work effectively in a team oriented and interdisciplinary environmentCompassionate: They also require a compassionate and caring attitude to deal with patient who are in pain, and enjoy working with patient from diverse backgrounds from teenage to menopause.
