JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

AVP DevOps Engineer is a member of the CloudOps & DevOps team and is responsible for building and operating fast and scalable workflows, and must have the ability to help architect, design, and lead the transformational journey into the AWS cloud platform of services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Leadership Responsibility

Incorporates entire application lifecycle in automation, including end-to-end and performance testing, automated remediation of issues, and auditable release tracking process.Drives significant improvements to business outcomes through simplifying and accelerating software development practice both through technical projects and procedural and technical coaching.Collaborate with Chief Architects to ensure that software is delivered of the highest standards and recommend the right technology stack to meet business goals.Leads multiple products or work streams simultaneously.Proactively engages with other Service Teams in automating all the manual tasks for revolving in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) onto continuous deployment and continuous integration framework.

Implements standardized offerings to facilitate the successful deployment of stacks

Develop continuous integration, build, test, and deployment platforms and pipelines.Develop automated testing frameworks for applications and infrastructure.

Pair with application teams and drive implementation of:

Revision/Source Control and Configuration ManagementMaintaining tools related to Monitoring, Bug Tracking, and TestingInfrastructure as Code/Software Defined InfrastructureLeads the implementation of continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS, and other Public Clouds is an added advantage.Delivers the development of automated solutions to monitor and support software development and release processes.Leads automation of security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.Leads the deployment of monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.Manages, and maintains tools to automate operational processes.Development of various infrastructure components including web stacks, database systems, security tools, and networking/cloud environment configurations.Supports development/engineering team to drive, design, implement, and maintain end-to-end DevOps automation from build, implementing, deploying (code check-in), operating, and maintaining the CI/CD deployment pipeline.Leverages DevOps Automation Tools to support the engineering team in improving the CI/CD deployment pipeline, and to extend the functionality of IT Infrastructure making use of APIs and open-source tools with sound knowledge of Python programming, web programming, and designs that scale.Manages system automation, writing scripts to extend the functionality of IT Infrastructure making use of various APIs and open-source tools with sound knowledge of Python programming, web programming, and scaling challenges.

Required qualifications:

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges.Deep understanding of tools and technologies such as Source Control, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure Automation, Deployment Automation (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, CICD) and Orchestration, Container Concepts, Orchestration and Cloud.Leverage the DevOps tooling landscape and experience integrating various DevOps tools together to provide end-to-end application lifecycle management.Hands-on experience in Bitbuckets, Terraform, Jenkins, Gits, GitHub, Phyton, JS Script, CloudFormation & Code-Deploy, Code-Build, Code-pipeline, Ansible & etc.At least 3+ years of Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, AWS EKS & AWS ECS to orchestrate the deployment, scaling, and management of Docker Containers. Proficient in Prometheus and container monitoring.At least 3+ years in managing and integrating code-quality tools like SonarQube, managing sonar rules and quality gates.Minimum 5 years of experience in delivering software projects/products to production.Knowledge of AWS's Well-Architected Framework and Cloud migration industry standards and best practicesPrior programming background in at least ONE language: C++, Java, Python, Ruby & etc.Strong scripting skills, i.e., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.Proficient in administering Linux and Windows systems in Cloud or Virtualized environments.Deep understanding of Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA and/or REST)Experience with various DevSecOps tools including Qualys, Fortify, or OWASP is an added advantage.
