Sound Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Sound Engineer to join our production team. As a Sound Engineer for Video Production, your primary responsibility is to ensure high-quality audio capture and production for various video projects.

You will work closely with the creative and production team to enhance the overall audio experience, creating content that meets or exceeds industry standards. Your expertise in sound equipment, recording techniques, and post-production processes will contribute to the success of the final video products. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with the creative and production department on audio requirements, logistics, and address potential acoustic challenges during the planning stage. 

• Responsible for optimal sound quality through setting up and calibrating sound equipment, testing, and troubleshooting as needed.  

• Capture high-quality audio, monitor levels in real-time, and collaborate with the production team for cohesive storytelling during filming. 

• Maintain and organize audio files, edit and mix tracks for balance, and add necessary sound effects and music to enhance the final product. 

• Review final audio mixes for issues, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications. 

• 5-8 years of experience as a sound engineer or in a related role 

• Bachelor's degree in audio, communications, or related field. 

• Technical expertise in sound engineering techniques (e.g. equalization) 

• Experience with sound editing and recording equipment (e.g. mixing consoles) 

• Working knowledge of recording software and hardware (e.g. Pro Tools) 

• Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills 

• Creativity and attention to detail 

• Problem-solving abilities 

• Excellent hearing and manual dexterity
