Cashier Storekeeper

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the retail industry? Cottage Grocer is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join us as a Cashier cum Storekeeper.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our store while providing excellent customer service to our valued patrons.

• Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our pointofsale (POS) system. Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure correct amounts and report any discrepancies.
• Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly demeanor, answer inquiries, and assist with locating products. Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Storekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment for customers. Restock merchandise on shelves and ensure products are properly displayed to enhance the shopping experience.
• Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking incoming inventory. Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages or overages to the appropriate department.
• Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling protocols, safety guidelines, and sanitation standards. Stay informed about product promotions, discounts, and special offers to provide accurate information to customers.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store goals and objectives. Support fellow team members during peak periods and contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and mutual respect.

• Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service preferred.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
