**Job Description**:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the retail industry? Cottage Grocer is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join us as a Cashier cum Storekeeper. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our store while providing excellent customer service to our valued patrons.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system. Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure correct amounts and report any discrepancies.
- Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly demeanor, answer inquiries, and assist with locating products. Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Storekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment for customers. Restock merchandise on shelves and ensure products are properly displayed to enhance the shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking incoming inventory. Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages or overages to the appropriate department.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling protocols, safety guidelines, and sanitation standards. Stay informed about product promotions, discounts, and special offers to provide accurate information to customers.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store goals and objectives. Support fellow team members during peak periods and contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and mutual respect.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service preferred.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: RM1,700.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Rotational shift
- Weekend jobs

Supplemental pay types:

- Attendance bonus
- Commission pay

**Experience**:

- Storekeeping: 1 year (preferred)
- Cashier: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Mandarin (preferred)
- Bahasa Melayu (preferred)
