The
Assistant Operations Manager at Freight Mark Trans Network Sdn Bhd is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the logistics department.

This role involves coordinating logistics activities, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods, managing warehouse operations, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Operation:

  • Monitor the planning and executing logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate and monitor logistics operations including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local and international regulations by attending the external audits.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of logistics staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Inventory and Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent shortages or overages.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
  • Implement and monitor warehouse safety and security protocols.

Customer Service:

  • Liaise with customers to ensure their logistics needs are met and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and make datadriven decisions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance logistics operations.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and thirdparty logistics providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain clear and open communication channels with all relevant parties involved in the logistics process.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional travel to different locations or client sites.
  • The role may involve working outside regular office hours to meet operational demands.

Lot 1, Jalan Sungai Kayu Ara 32/37, Berjaya Industrial Park, 40460 Shah Alam, Selangor

Pay:
RM5, RM8,000.00 per month
